Joaquin " Purito " returns to the VUELTA A IBIZA MTB SCOTT BY SHIMANO 2023

The cyclist has been part of the Ibizan family since 2019 and this year he returns to the island

Ibiza, February 22, 2023. La Vuelta a Ibiza MTB SCOTT by Shimano of 2023 will be an edition with great novelties, maintaining its original essence, but seeking to improve the experience of the participants. There are many who repeat and the organization always looks to offer something different. For this reason, 'Purito' Rodríguez has once again chosen the best stage round in Spain and will return to Ibiza at Easter.

'Purito' is one of those athletes who has dedicated himself to the discipline he loved and who, no matter how many years pass, will continue to be linked to two wheels because it is what makes him happy. That is probably why he enjoys an event like La Vuelta a Ibiza MTB SCOTT by Shimano so much. The road cyclist feels comfortable in the mountains. This stage test is an opportunity to compete and get to know Ibiza in equal parts. It offers a real challenge for the participants, who, on many occasions did not expect the difficulty of the route they find. More than 200 kilometers over three days with a total of more than 5,000 meters of unevenness, something that surprises visitors. Then, once the stage is over, there are countless places to visit to see the island in its purest state.

“Those of us who already know the island are equally impressed. You don't expect there to be those roads. It is a spectacular place, not only to ride a bike, but to enjoy Ibiza with the family in another way. It has a lot to offer. I always take advantage of those days to take a vacation and stay there for a few days. The atmosphere is spectacular, for me it is a test of 10 from Thursday to Sunday. “I always recommend it" confessed 'Purito' Rodríguez. Regarding his partner for this year, he also repeats: "Last year I raced with Oliver Avilés and we will return to try again in 2023. He is my partner in most of the races."
