The legacy of Bartolo Planells continues to grow. From March 29 to 31, our island will be once again the capital of mountain biking. Ready to enjoy La Vuelta a Ibiza on MTB Scott by Shimano? The countdown to the twenty-third edition of a dream race has already begun!
Just like we did last year, we are once again bringing forward the opening of registrations. Set an alarm on your cell phone: on Wednesday, November 15, at 8 p.m., the thousand race numbers for La Vuelta a Ibiza will begin to be distributed. Remember, in this first registration period, each number will cost 180 euros.
Those who don't know it think that the most famous island in the world is a small place. Those who have traveled it on a mountain bike know, however, that the number of roads, trails and unpaved tracks that Ibiza offers is infinite. Once again, our race direction is studying every centimeter of the island map to include surprises and variations on the route that you faithful bikers who have not missed the event for years already know.
Hundreds of kilometers that include very tough climbs and dizzying descents, very technical sections mixed with other areas in which you need to pedal to maintain cruising speed. You cross the heart of the island – crop fields, hills, pine forests – to ride alongside the most beautiful coves in the world. The light of the first warm days of spring makes the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean shine. A luxury for riders and companions, who can enjoy a wide range of leisure and gastronomic offers in Ibiza.
This special route book is divided into three stages and brings together a platoon of a thousand cyclists. The public that attends the starts and finishes, and sprinkles the route with applause, sees both the best mountain bike specialists ride as well as pairs of amateurs who train all year round to face this challenge. Everyone is enjoying La Vuelta a Ibiza Scott by Shimano to the fullest.
