The Vuelta a Ibiza Scott is to be postponed until 10, 11 and 12 October
The Vuelta a Ibiza Scott is to be postponed until 10, 11 and 12 October following the recommendations of the Health Authorities.
Juan José Planells: “The health of the participants, their families and of all Ibiza residents is our greatest priority at this time”
In response to the current on-going emergency situation caused by the coronavirus outbreak, and as a precautionary and socially responsible measure, the organisers of the Mountain Bike Scott Vuelta a Ibiza have decided to postpone the event until the 10, 11 and 12 October 2020.
“Considering the health of the participants to be our utmost priority and following the advice of the health authorities, we have made the decision to postpone the race until 10, 11 and 12 October, when we will celebrate more than ever a very special event, our 20th anniversary, with all the participants who have placed their trust in the Mountain Bike Vuelta a Ibiza. We will make every effort to ensure that each and every one of the people entering the race will be able to take part and enjoy our event to the full. It is the responsibility of all of us to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and under such conditions, we cannot offer or guarantee the best Vuelta of Ibiza ever held” explained Juan José Planells, the chief organiser of the event.
As set out in the regulations, registered participants are guaranteed their place in the race on the new date indicated above. However, anyone who feels they have been affected by the change in the date can contact the organisers (email@example.com) to discuss and resolve their individual situation.
The postponement of the event may create an inconvenience for all of us, but the organisers have made the health of the participants, their companions, the sponsors, the press and the people living on the island their number one priority. The residents of Ibiza have always been enthusiastic and ready to collaborate with the organisers to ensure the success of the event.
It is for this reason that the organisers are inviting the participants to attend in October when we will celebrate our recovery from this health crisis and the 20th anniversary of La Vuelta, which promises to be a unique and memorable experience.
